I have been trying to find the best Journaling app, I downloaded every app on the list, fortunately found this one, Stoic. Telling my stories here is so flawless done by its wonderful navigations, very thankful for I am able to put lots of picture here—most of the apps are limited—it is a deal breaker for me since picture is a great tool to capture memories, moving to another feature, looking back to your journals in the past month is not a problem here, they prompt every thoughts and pictures you have recorded, letting you remember the good times and they also included affirmations and quotes which is superb.

For me personally, this app has had a net benefit on my mental health. Journaling is a good way to check in with your thoughts and emotions in a totally non judgmental way. I also enjoy the quotes and affirmations that derive from Stoic philosophy, which is widely misunderstood. 5/5 stars.

I have been truly grateful to have found this app, for journaling and reflection as well as education. They don’t pester you to be a premium member and most if not all (I am not sure) of the features are available to you. Please take the time for yourself, you won’t regret it. Stoic has helped me in the most stressful times. Such as panic attacks and upsetting mornings. I also recommend Bing to to you if you really wanna boost your mental care. Overall, great app, lets you summarize and reflect on your day and do breathings.

I have always wanted to journal and improve my life through daily routines for a while now. But since my life is really busy, I find it really hard to carry out my plans to do so. But with this app, I feel like I am able to organize my journaling easily and I won’t forget to journal every day. I also like how they give an option for premium membership, without restricting most of the app for non premium users. It helps us try out the app before and see all the parts of it before I decide to pay for it. This app is worth every penny. It’s savvy in helping encourage a daily practice of mindfulness, of self care, of intellectual attention to the present and your purpose. This app has been part of my daily practice for about 5 months and I’ve barely scratched the surface of its potential. It’s been a great blessing in my life. I’ve used many journaling apps over the 13 years I’ve had an iPhone and Mac. Many are great, for what they are. You can write and add pictures, maybe even a social check in or two. Recently I craved more from my journaling- namely I wanted to see the patterns in my writing, even a word cloud to show me what words I used most often. I can forget and its eye opening when you see that. I came across Stoic and it looked beautiful and promised to show me trends. What I didn’t count on was what a powerhouse of useful tools and tracking this amazing app had to offer. Overall Stoic is a fantastic app that should be getting more attention. It also got me looking up the history of stoicism which is quite interesting.

First App Store review because this app is awesome! Simple, yet elegant UI that is easy to navigate. Acts as morning and evening journal, allowing me to align on my goals for the day and recap on how my day went afterwards. Helps me track my mindset, and what is affecting how I’m feeling each day. Also provides great quotes and affirmations that make me think deeply and reconsider how I look at things. There are two breathing meditation features I have just begun using that I also like, this app just does it all! I can do a guided or unguided meditation, or breathing exercises with a specific focus. I also like how all of my journals are private to my devices as it gives me more peace of mind. As I said in the title, I purchased the lifetime premium access as I can see myself using this resource in my daily routine forever!

I don’t think I’ve ever come across a journaling app that has so many features, exercises, interactive aspects, and impactful quotes. I also love all the widgets that form with the app. I feel like this app is slowly becoming a part of my lifestyle when I update it every morning and evening. I NEVER write reviews for apps, but this is literally the self care app I have been searching for. I have tried a lot of self care apps, but none of them have really stuck. But I love this app. Other apps either have way too much, or not quite enough. But stoic is great! It’s simple and thought provoking prompts are amazing. I love that there are breathing exercises and journaling options. As well as a mood tracker! I like the morning and night prompts also.

Initially, I liked the stoic app because of it’s minimalist-approach interface and seeing the different features it offers, from the emotion tracker, to guided journal prompts & meditations, dream journal to the simple empty journal page that I could fill up with anything I had on my mind. The simple versatility of this app is outstanding. My only suggestion would be to add a feature to allow for the customisation of your own entry type (I am also using this to record daily ADHD symptoms/reflections, would be useful to tailor questions and be able to filter these entries).

Besides being the name of an amazing oyster bar in Denver, this app has helped me sort through feelings and the many thoughts that run through my head. I love mapping out my day with Stoic. I set daily goals, which don’t overwhelm or seem unattainable. In addition, Stoic prompts me to dive a little deeper into those daily goals by asking questions. This allows me to express what’s in my head and also prioritize my day accordingly. I love how Stoic sends me notifications and prompts to do the daily journaling, since I am a forgetful person. I feel motivated!

I can’t find a therapist due to having Medicare. None want to take new patients since the ACA was gutted, and they don’t have to anymore. Unfortunately for me, I went through some devastating events right at the time that I couldn’t get a therapist to see me. I really wish I had found this app 2 years ago. It’s incredibly intuitive, and it is really helping me to get my mental health and physical health back in check. I’ve tried about 10 other mental health apps, and none of them come close to what this app does. To whoever developed this amazing tool, thank you! I was honestly giving up before I found this app. I couldn’t keep just existing in the deep depression that I was in. I really think this app helped to save my life.

Being able to track my average mood over a year and how it relates to my biometrics is really informative and interesting. I love the app’s simple design and the journal format. It’s a non disruptive and accessible way to monitor myself.

Secondly, I’m a UI/UX designer, and truly this is my favorite app. Despite being minimal, every single interaction has been designed exactly for the user. With endless amounts of activities to choose from, this app has helped me so much with my overall mindfulness and gratitude for life and all of its circumstances. Highly, highly recommend.

I downloaded this app a hour or two ago along with a few other journal based apps because I’ve needed to get some thoughts off of my chest. I struggle with mental health issues and have done for many years. I ended up typing out over 2,000 words. This is unlike the other apps I have used. It offers you prompts and will ask you to challenge your thoughts afterwards in the “stress and anxiety” section in the “explore” tab. If you are a person struggling with mental health I highly recommend. The prompts are brilliant and gets your brain thinking without too much generalization or being to detailed. It also doesn’t offer you subscriptions in your face and is ad free! 20 out of 10!!

I can only say that when you need to talk or even just to express your deepest and darkest thoughts, this app helps you to express yourself and also to point out the changes that your way of being is encountering. Days yes or days no, there is always something to tell! I highly recommend!!!

The application has good suggestions for reflection and brings quotes from Stoicism, in addition to others that you can enable. It has very useful widgets and a minimalist interface, extremely important for neuroatypicals. I manage to maintain consistency in the app through its layout and design, which is the best point, and I love it! 🤍
